ALSA Singapore started as the Law Students' International Relations Committee (LSIRC) which is a student-run organisation dedicated to establishing ties with foreign law students and institutions. In recent years, the LSIRC has expanded into an umbrella organisation which oversees the Singapore chapter of ALSA.
The Committee was only set up in 1995 but has grown rapidly since then. The main objective of this committee is to encourage more formal ties in the form of study trips and participation in overseas conferences.
ALSA Singapore has had the honour and privilege of hosting the Annual ALSA Conference on 4 occasions, namely in 1992, 1995, 2002 and most recent, in May 2006.
The near future holds exciting challenges for ALSA Singapore as they continue to develop ties with our overseas counterparts and to step up to another level in ALSA.

draft Constitution stating the objective, purpose, structure, and activities of the Link was drawn up. Proposed activities include a website and a bi-annual law publication with articles contributed by students from both institutions.
